Platinum Award for The Common Linnets

The Common Linnets received a Platinum award for sales exceeding 50,000 for their self titled debut album. 

The album entered the Album Chart on the top spot on Friday. Also, all 13 songs on the album entered the single chart.

Daniël Lohues co-wrote a number of songs on the album, as did JB Meijers who also produced the album.

Ilse DeLange and Waylon represented The Netherlands at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest last week with their song ‘Calm After The Storm’. They ended second and reached the best result for The Netherlands since 1975.
