This week’s pick for Song of the Week is ‘Carousel’ by the Dutch/Finnish band Town of Saints.
Town of Saints is based in Groningen, the Netherlands, but isn’t home often. Started out as street musicians when the couple Harmen Ridderbos (vocals/guitar) and Heta Salkolahti (violin/vocals) met each other in Austria, they’ve been constantly touring Europe since.
The modern folk-band was completed with Sietse Ros on drums and as a three piece they released their debut album “Something To Fight With” in October 2013.
