The Common Linnets win European Border Breakers Award
Congratulations to The Common Linnets on winning a 2015 European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA)!
The 2015 European Border Breakers Awards were announced today by the European Commission and Eurosonic Noorderslag, the European music conference and showcase festival.
Androulla Vassiliou, the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, says:
“My warmest congratulations to the winners of this year’s EBBA – I wish them great success in their future careers. The awards have proved an excellent launch-pad in the past for artists from Adele to Zedd, helping them to reach audiences beyond their home base and to increase their international visibility and sales,”
The album by The Common Linnets spent numerous weeks on the top spot of the Dutch Album chart and has made waves around Europe and the world.
Daniël Lohues co-wrote a number of songs on the album, as did JB Meijers who also produced the album.
