The Common Linnets win two Marcel Bezençon Awards and end second in ESC
The Common Linnets received 238 points in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest final and finished second, after the Austrian winner Conchita Wurst.
With their song ‘Calm After The Storm’ Ilse DeLange and Waylon reached the best result for The Netherlands since 1975.
Before the final The Common Linnets received two Marcel Bezençon Awards. They won the ‘Composer Award’ and ‘Artistic Award’. The ‘Composer Award’ is a jury prize, the ‘Artistic Award’ is chosen by the commentators of all participating countries.
